RUBY MENDELSON

Ruby is a rising senior at CESJDS. She joined BBYO in 9th grade and has loved it ever since. Along with BBYO, Ruby loves musical theater and performing onstage. She is so excited for this upcoming year and she can't wait to see what people accomplish. Ruby wants to inspire the future leaders of DC Council and is looking forward to working with them this year.
JONAH RICHARDSON
Godol
Jonah is a rising senior at River Hill High School, in the far away land of Howard County. Outside of BBYO, he's the captain of his school's wrestling team, and has been part of the sport for 11 years. He's a huge foodie, and will eat or cook just about anything. If you ever have food recommendations, you should definitely tell him. Recently he's been getting into the show Survivor, but thinks he wouldn't last a day on the island. Jonah is incredibly excited to work with chapters this year to elevate DC AZA to the point that every Aleph in DC Council feels like part of one giant family.
AVI GORODETSKI

Avi is a rising junior at The Potomac School. She is passionate about community service, leadership, and of course, BBYO. Avi loves to travel and learn about other cultures, but her home away from home will always be Israel. As an only child and a Gemini, Avi is very talkative by nature, so get ready to tell her to take a breath. Avi is extremely honored to be the first member from the District on DC Council Board! At the end of the term, Avi envisions a council full of unity where inclusion of all chapter members is spotlighted, and elevated programming sparks passion within each Aleph and BBG.

Jasper is aa rising Junior at Churchill HS. When he isn't working to make a great term, Jasper enjoys watching sports, playing soccer, writing for the school paper and watching The Office. He is so excited to work with everyone to make the best year possible.

Dani is a rising junior at Sidwell Friends School. She’s from Achshav BBG and is obsessed with BBYO. Her favorite movie is “Teen Beach Movie” and she could spend the rest of her life only eating ice cream. She loves her dog and all animals, especially giraffes. She is most excited to strengthen the sisterhood of the council, increase engagement on all levels and ensure that each BBG has the ability to form unbreakable bonds.

Eli is a rising senior at Wootton HS. He works at Life Time Athletic as a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard, and is an active member of BBYO. He is passionate about visual art, as he pursues photography and videography, and is a producer for his school's morning announcements. Eli is most excited to plan and run a hopefully in person new member weekend!
JENNA BLOOM

Jenna is a rising senior at Sherwood HS. She plays tennis, writes for her school newspaper, is a hostess at her local Country Club, and loves BBYO. She is passionate about journalism, media, and film. Jenna’s favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream, and her favorite Mario Kart character is Toad. She’s excited to connect with DC in new ways, and inspire her counterparts!!
SETH GOLDFINE

This is Seth. Seth is a rising junior at Churchill high school. He loves the sport of boxing and is on a team at champion boxing and fitness gym. He’s been doing it for about 2.5 years. Seth also has been going to pinemere sleep away camp for the last 7 years. He looks forward to it every year making it the best 2 months of the year. He is super excited about this upcoming term for dc council with improvements to AZAA. Can’t wait to see what he will do.
MAYA POLLACK

Meet Maya! She’s a rising senior at Wootton High School. She’s interested in computer science, loves to travel, and is incredibly passionate about BBYO. If there’s anything you should know about her, it’s her allergy to gluten and the fact that she talks about it nonstop. Catch her making a disastrous gluten free dessert or being on FaceTime 24/7. This term, she’s looking forward to connecting with each chapter and using Judaism as a tool to bring DC Council closer together.

Meet your Aleph Shaliach Jack White! He goes to Northwest and plays lacrosse. For college, he hopes to be able to attend Tulane, Michigan, or Princeton, as well as law school at Maryland. By the end of the term, Jack hopes to have created strong connections between each and every chapter, as well as each and every Aleph. If you ever need anything, anything at all, reach out to Jack, whether you know him or not.

Meet Iara! She’s a rising Junior at Richard Montgomery HS. She enjoys dance, playing softball, graphic design, and loves everything about BBYO. She is a Hebrew school tutor at B’nai Israel and also enjoys athletic training so she hopes to train and volunteer as an EMT in the future. Iara is very excited to work with her counterparts and plan super fun council fundraisers!
BEN WEINER
Gizbor
Ben Weiner, the first ever GizBRO, is a rising junior at Northwest HS. In addition to playing both soccer and ice hockey, Ben is allergic to penicillin. Ben is a huge fan of Big Time Rush, and for some reason he knows the lyrics to every song they have ever released. His favorite exercise is the bench press, but the dead-lift is a close second. This term, he is extremely looking forward to finding a workout partner or members to help him form his boy band, as well as educating DC Council about the I$F, and having fun while doing so.
